Virtual Reality Simulator Developed for CPR Learning and Training
One of the benefits of the simulator is to mentally and emotionally prepare students. The sense of presence provided by virtual reality and the emotional engagement it creates are crucial for learning.
Recurrent practice with the simulator will help sustain learning over time, which is essential when only an initial course is taken and there is no further practice.
The CPR Simulator in Virtual Reality:
- Enables the practice of pre-hospital care using CPR, following the protocols for Basic Life Support (BLS) for adults in pre-hospital settings.
- Provides feedback reports based on the decisions made by the student during the emergency care simulation, helping to modulate their learning.
- Students will gain advantages by using the simulator in conjunction with a conventional CPR training mannequin, thus understanding the force of chest compressions and their effectiveness. It can also be used without a mannequin to practice the chain of survival and learn to manage the alert and stress situation generated by the simulator, aiding in their mental and emotional preparation.

A virtual defibrillator for BLS (Basic Life Support) is included for use with or without a mannequin.
